Green Acres Excavating is a family business. Jerry Major and his son, Jerry Jr. are the driving forces behind the company's success. This year they are celebrating 30 years in business, which is a true testament to the quality of their work and the professionalism they stand by--reliable, trustworthy, dedicated service and top-notch excavation work. That's what you can expect from them. They are committed to a job well done. Every time.
I had a pretty good idea that my son, Jerry Jr., would follow into the business. He’s been working with me since he was able to walk, basically, and as he got older continued to improve and hone his skills and knowledge of the business.
His great attitude and work ethic has helped fuel our business, which now does everything from septic systems to new home excavation to commercial development.
I’m proud to be working along side my son and excited about the next 30 years of Green Acres Excavating.

1994 - 2024
30 Years in the Dirt Business
The elder Jerry has been operating heavy equipment for 30-plus years, and in the dirt business for 30, first with a large retail and wholesale garden center and landscaping business, then concentrating strictly on their excavation company. Jerry Jr. was the inspiration behind making the shift to excavation and is the driving force behind recent acquisition of new CAT equipment and researching new trends and opportunities for the business. Here's to another 30 years!
